CEO Waterfront Toronto, Founder Delphi Group-NCC Masterplan Architect-Bank Street BIA Director on Waterfront Ottawa by 5 Levels of Government

Monday March 23, 2013 is the official launch date for a Waterfront Ottawa Campaign, watch Rogers TV at 8.30pm, while we are not advocating for any specific type of water front development, we are advocating for the creation of Waterfront Ottawa and for PPP (P3) Canada to have a seat on the board.

Our guest, John Campbell is the President & CEO for Waterfront Toronto and former Head of Canadian Property Management for Brookfields Properties. Created by the Governments of Canada and Ontario and the City of Toronto, they are responsible for leading the estimated $30 - $35 billion renewal of Toronto's waterfront. It has a 25-year mandate to transform 2000 acres of land. Other guests include the founder of Delphi Group, Author of NCC Masterplan and Bank Street BIA Director will answer questions like:

1) Why was it necessary to for 3 levels of government to have direct input through Waterfront Toronto? Should 5 levels of government (P3 Canada, NCC, City of Ottawa, Ontario, and federal government) come together to create Waterfront Ottawa?

2) Are taxpayers losing money if we do not give the private sector an opportunity to increase the economic and tourism return on Ottawa's Waterfront property?

3) What are there any opportunities for improvement of Ottawa's waterfront like the Parkway, Vanier Ottawa River, Victoria, Chaudière, Albert & Amelia Islands, Colonel By Drive, Bayview Yards, Rideau River, Hurdman Station Islands, Dows Lake?

4) What can Ottawa learn from places like Helsinki, Chicago, Oregon, Montreal, Miami, New York, Manhattan, and Copenhagen? In terms of  malls, restaurants, hotels, tourist attractions, ferry and submarine rides, sports and recreation centers, transit, parks, landscape, events, arts and culture exhibitions what are the best waterfront developments in the world?
